Federal tenders

CanadaBuys: how to search federal government tenders

CanadaBuys is the official window for Government of Canada solicitations. It replaced BuyandSell.gc.ca and runs on SAP Ariba. Sidona does not replace it — it watches CanadaBuys (and provincial boards) so you see the right RFPs faster.

What you still do on CanadaBuys

  • Create a supplier account and get a Procurement Business Number (PBN)
  • Link your SAP Ariba profile
  • Download the official solicitation documents
  • Submit the bid before the closing time

What CanadaBuys does not do

  • Search Ontario, Quebec, BC, or city notices
  • Read a 400-page PDF for you
  • Match RFPs to what your company actually does
  • Catch jobs written in different words than your alert

Sidona + CanadaBuys

Sidona indexes CanadaBuys notices into one feed with provincial and US sources. Talk to the Tender answers questions from the attached PDFs with page citations. When you are ready to bid, you click through to the official CanadaBuys (or Ariba) page and submit there.

Watch CanadaBuys without living in Ariba

Start a 10-day trial and see federal notices in the same feed as provincial boards.
