Question 1

What is Sidona?

Accepted Answer

Sidona is software for teams bidding on government contracts. We find official Canadian tenders, read the RFP paperwork, and show which opportunities fit your company so you can decide bid or no-bid without checking a dozen websites. Sidona does not write the proposal or submit the bid.

Question 2

Who is Sidona for?

Accepted Answer

Sidona is for teams bidding on government contracts in IT services, construction, professional services, and facilities. It finds notices on CanadaBuys, provincial and state boards, and SAM.gov, then matches them to your company profile.

Question 3

What is AI government procurement software?

Accepted Answer

AI government procurement software helps suppliers find, read, and prioritize public-sector tenders. Sidona aggregates official notices, uses AI to search and answer questions from RFP PDFs, and matches government contracts to your company profile — so you spend time bidding, not hunting portals.

Question 4

How do I search for government contracts and tenders?

Accepted Answer

You can search CanadaBuys, provincial boards, and municipal boards one by one — or use Sidona to search government contracts and tenders in a single feed, filtered by region, level, and fit to your business. New notices sync about every 12 hours from the official sources.

Question 5

What government levels and portals does Sidona cover?

Accepted Answer

Sidona indexes official federal, provincial, and territorial procurement portals into a single feed. Municipal, academic, school, and hospital (MASH) notices appear when they are posted on those boards.

Question 6

How often is the procurement data updated and synced?

Accepted Answer

The scan scheduler runs a full pass across enabled portals every 12 hours. When an amendment, addendum, or clarification is published on an active tender, Sidona updates the record, re-analyzes attached documents, and alerts users tracking that opportunity.

Question 7

What is the KYC process, and how does it help match tenders?

Accepted Answer

During onboarding, Sidona runs a lightweight Know Your Company (KYC) process. You share your business identity, capabilities, regions you serve, certifications, and the types of contracts you typically pursue. We use that profile to automatically match and suggest tenders that fit your firm — so relevant opportunities surface in your feed without keyword hunting or checking every portal yourself.

Question 8

How does the 'Talk to the Tender' AI document Q&A handle 500+ page PDFs?

Accepted Answer

Our system is designed to seamlessly process large, multi-hundred-page government documents. When a tender is indexed, the document text is parsed and prepared for high-performance analysis. When you ask a question, our AI instantly searches the entire document to locate and analyze the most relevant sections, tables, and clauses. This allows you to ask complex questions and receive precise, cited answers in seconds, making it easy to digest long, complex RFPs without having to read them cover-to-cover.

Question 9

How does the semantic matching score (fit score) work?

Accepted Answer

Instead of relying on basic keyword matching, Sidona compares each tender against your KYC company profile. We look at scope of work, required capabilities, certifications, geography, and other criteria, then score how well the opportunity fits your business. That score helps you prioritize suggestions, make faster bid/no-bid decisions, and focus on tenders you are actually positioned to win.

Question 10

What AI models are used, and where is the data hosted?

Accepted Answer

Sidona uses Google Gemini for AI search, matching, and document Q&A. Primary application data and stored tender PDFs are hosted in US cloud regions. Authentication (Clerk), payments (Stripe), email (Resend), and AI inference also involve processing in the United States under contractual safeguards described in our Privacy Policy.

Question 11

Does Sidona train models on our private company bid data?

Accepted Answer

No. Your KYC profile, tender documents, and chat interactions are kept in your account and are not used to train public or shared foundation models. We use third-party AI providers only to deliver features to you, under our instructions and Privacy Policy.

Question 12

How secure is the data stored on the Sidona platform?

Accepted Answer

Security is engineered into every layer of Sidona. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. We integrate with Clerk for enterprise-grade authentication, supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) via Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID (Active Directory), and SAML. We also support multi-factor authentication (MFA) and granular, role-based access control (RBAC) to ensure only authorized team members can access your workspace.

Question 13

How do I book a demo and onboarding session?

Accepted Answer

Use the contact form, or pick a time on the calendar on that same page. We run Sidona on a tender your team is already tracking: fit score from your company profile, cited answers from the PDF, and any amendment already on the notice. Sidona does not write or submit the bid.
